VTAP NFC wallet readers for swift and secure gym entry
Anytime Fitness is the largest gym franchise in the world, with over 5000 locations in 30 countries. Their members enjoy a unified experience, with 24-hour access to any gym in the network as well as personalised training, a dedicated mobile app and a partnership with Apple Fitness+. Operating until recently using legacy RFID key fobs, the customer experience has been upgraded to use NFC Wallet. Membership ID passes are now installed in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet with a simple click, and customers can enter the gym swiftly and securely by just tapping their phones on the VTAP NFC readers installed at every door.
Dot Origin worked closely with the Anytime Fitness technology team for over two years, to add several custom features to the VTAP hardware and firmware and to assist with the development of new door control hardware that is installed alongside the VTAP readers.
